With the help of two sweet, knowledgeable friends from church, we added a labyrinth to our front yard, because we read somewhere that it would help to create balance within our home.  We set our intentions and walked it for a while as we enjoyed it along with the peacefulness from our rock garden to the left of it. (The rock garden is being remodeled, so it is not shown in this picture, but many people who have visited here have said that the spiritual energy from it is very powerful.) Later, as we did research on labyrinths, we found a Chakra Labyrinth Cards kit on Amazon (see information below on this) and began to coordinate the ideas from it into our labyrinth. 

The Chakra Labyrinth Cards kit includes a finger labyrinth as shown on the left in this picture and a set of Release and Renew cards which are the same colors as your chakras. It also includes a Centering card and a set of Integration cards to incorporate the four elements of earth, air, fire, water, and ether for releasing into the labyrinth practice. We decided that we wanted to color the stones within the paths of our labyrinth to match the chakras as shown in the finger labyrinth.  We ran into some technical difficulties when we found that our particular labyrinth did not have enough paths for all of the chakras, so we decided to color and decorate just one rock for each chakra (see pictures of rocks at the bottom of this page) and place them within the paths or simply on the ground in places that corresponded to where the paths were in our labyrinth. We do not have an exact picture of the labyrinth looking like this yet, because we are still working on how it is going to look, but here are some examples of some of the cards and the rocks that match them. (see below) There are five cards within each set and each one has a message about releasing (Release message) as you go into the labyrinth and then  each has a renewing (Renew message) as you go out. We have found that when we set our intentions upon entering the labyrinth they end up matching the messages on the cards with regard to whatever we need to release, so that what we have intended can be renewed or in other words manifested.  It is also a great way to balance your chakras!
